How do you organize your day, month, year?

Spoiler alert: an example of this is at the end of the post.

Whether you’re in the thick of a demanding job or navigating the complexities of everyday life, one thing remains constant: planning and execution are the keys to success. For me, it’s all about finding that perfect cadence to kickstart my day on the right note.

Picture this: the night before, I meticulously set up all my reminders for the next day, ensuring that I have a clear roadmap for what lies ahead. But the real game-changer? Jotting down the top five tasks I need to accomplish for the day in my trusty Notability app. It’s like setting the stage for a productive performance.

But it doesn’t stop there. Come Friday, I take a step back to reflect and strategize for the week ahead. I jot down another set of five objectives, laying the groundwork for what’s to come. And when the new month rolls around, it’s time to zoom out even further.

At the beginning of each month, I take a deep dive into my goals, both short-term and long-term. I outline five key tasks for the month, ensuring that I’m aligning my daily efforts with the bigger picture. And for good measure, I extend this practice to quarterly and yearly planning sessions.

You see, it’s all about striking that delicate balance between the high-level vision and the nitty-gritty details. I know where I want to go, but it’s the daily grind that propels me forward. It’s like having a GPS for success: clear destination in mind, with turn-by-turn directions to guide me along the way.
