Some people say sales comes naturally to me
Because I’m outgoing
That’s only a small part of it πŸ‘‡

Salespeople are like athletes:

β†’ There is a lot of conditioning.
β†’ Sales professionals must continuously build their skills to thrive.

We need to prepare for the unexpected:

β†’ Economic changes.
β†’ Leadership changes.
β†’ Account reassignments.
β†’ New product offerings.
β†’ Territory changes.

This involves:

β†’ Mastering product knowledge.
β†’ Effective communication.
β†’ Relentless prospecting.
β†’ Building strong relationships.
β†’ Handling objections.
β†’ Being a closer.

These are some things I do to stay sharp:

β†’ Stay Informed: Keep up with industry trends, competitors & the market.
β†’ Demand Generation: Without at-bats, there are no opportunities.
β†’ Practice, Practice, Practice: Role play regularly.
β†’ Set Goals: Gotta know where you’re going.
β†’ Embrace Failure: Learn from mistakes.
β†’ Upskill – Sharpen and learn new skills.

β†’ By embracing the mindset of a sales athlete, you will do great things in your sales career.
