Because Iβm outgoing
Thatβs only a small part of it π
Salespeople are like athletes:
β There is a lot of conditioning.
β Sales professionals must continuously build their skills to thrive.
We need to prepare for the unexpected:
β Economic changes.
β Leadership changes.
β Account reassignments.
β New product offerings.
β Territory changes.
This involves:
β Mastering product knowledge.
β Effective communication.
β Relentless prospecting.
β Building strong relationships.
β Handling objections.
β Being a closer.
These are some things I do to stay sharp:
β Stay Informed: Keep up with industry trends, competitors & the market.
β Demand Generation: Without at-bats, there are no opportunities.
β Practice, Practice, Practice: Role play regularly.
β Set Goals: Gotta know where you’re going.
β Embrace Failure: Learn from mistakes.
β Upskill – Sharpen and learn new skills.
β By embracing the mindset of a sales athlete, you will do great things in your sales career.
